The
Springsoft Education Foundation was established in December 2001. The
Foundation's mission is to inspire education in the basic sciences,
promote development of Electronic Design Automation talent,
and provide related training in Integrated Circuit design.
 Since
2002, the Foundation has held the Springsoft Scientific Creativity
Contest to deepen science education programs. The contest provides
a platform for high school students in Taiwan to demonstrate
their creativity and enthusiasm for technology.
The Foundation is dedicated to strengthening domestic talent
and global competitiveness in the EDA field. By offering the
Springsoft EDA Scholarship's, it encourages students to engage
in EDA research. Since the Scholarships inception in 2003,
the number of papers published by Taiwanese authors in the major
EDA-focused conferences (the Design Automation Conference, IC
CAD and the International Test Conference) has steadily increased.
In cooperation with the Industrial Development Bureau of the
Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Foundation has provided IC
Layout design training for jobless people. This commitment to
the community provides well-trained Layout engineers to Taiwans
vital semiconductor industry. |
