Open SystemC Initiative (OSCI)

Founded in 1998, OSCI is an independent not-for-profit open standard organization who defines SystemC, a C++ based system level description language to be used in the Electronic System Level (ESL) design methodology. OSCI had made SystemC v2.1 the IEEE Standard 1666 in the year 2005. SpringSoft joined OSCI in May 2006 as one of the 33 members and is actively involved in Language WG, TLM WG, Synthesis WG and Verification WG.

Accellera

Accellera was formed in 2000 through the unification of Open Verilog International and VHDL International to focus on identifying new standards, development of standards and formats, and to foster the adoption of new methodologies. Accellera's mission is to drive worldwide development and use of standards required by systems, semiconductor and design tools companies, which enhance a language-based design automation process.

Taiwan Semiconductor Industry Association

The Taiwan Semiconductor Industry Association (TSIA) was founded in 1996 as a private-sector organization with the mission of supporting the development of the industry. The TSIA hopes that its activities can help the industry build a consensus for future developments so the industry can grow through cooperation in competition. Springsoft is a member of the TSIA' s IC Design Committee and has provided its valuable experience on a long-term basis. This helps the TSIA bring the industry together and strengthen the competitive advantages of Taiwan' s IC design industry.

Up until April 2007, the 140-plus members of the TSIA included companies from the R&D, Design, Manufacturing, Packaging, Testing, Hardware and Materials sectors. The TSIA regularly hosts conferences in Taiwan and supports the organizing of large international conferences such as ISS Taiwan and SEMICON Taiwan. The TSIA has also worked actively on establishing contacts between the domestic industry and related international organizations by being involved in international initiatives such as the WSC and ITRS. These have all helped to take Taiwan' s semiconductor industry to the international stage.

Open Core Protocol International Partnership (OCP-IP)

CP International Partnership (OCP-IP) is a non-profit semiconductor industry consortium formed to administer the support, promotion and enhancement of the Open Core Protocol (OCP) specification. OCP is the only fully supported, openly licensed, complete interface socket for intellectual property (IP) cores. OCP addresses design, verification and testing issues common to IP core reuse in "plug-and-play" system-on-chip (SOC) products. Additional information is available at
